Team Donna
Team Donna,
Is in memory of my Aunt Donna who was my mom's younger sister. She recently passed away and her dear friends Kay and Dale want to continue her generous support of the work MADD does for victims of drunk and drugged driving. This upcoming 5k will support MADD Northwest Florida in maintaining a 24 hour hotline, providing educational tools to prevent DUIs among young people, and more. My family lost their lives on April 19, 1981 to a drunk driver when we were mere travelers through southern Virginia on our way home to Cape May Courthouse, NJ from a vacation. The offender received 6 months in prison and 1 year drivers license revocation for taking 3 lives by his irresponsible behavior. Since then, MADD has done the most work to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving. Thank you for joining us in MADD Northwest Florida's efforts to combat drunk and drugged driving! Funds raised will be used to educate youth about the dangers of underage drinking by going to schools and presenting the Power of Youth and Power of Me presentations; recognizing top DUI officers at our law enforcement recognition event, support law enforcement community by providing refreshments during DUI enforcement campaigns, and offering free services to victims of DUI.
